Your Heritage in MyHeritage

I have been using the MyHeritage site for building the family tree for years I prefer it over other programs I have tried for a number of reasons:
a. Once you get the hang of it, it is easy to use.
b. It is private. Living persons' details are not disclosed to the general public - only to registered family members (who can join only if they are invited).
c. Once you've joined a specific family tree you can add information on your own and help continue to build the tree.
d. It is easy to add photos. I download historical records as pictures and add them to the name. This way I have a record of where I found information. For example, when I find a person in a specific U.S. census, I copy the page from the census and add it to the name.
e. MyHeritage actually helps you to research a name.
f. You can print out the tree from the program.
g. They have amazing software to handle, fix, color, and even animate photos.
h. MyHeritage allows you to follow up branches of in-laws and their in-laws and their in-laws...
There's more, but I've listed enough.
However, there is one drawback that you should be aware of.
MyHeritage will suggest to you other trees when their search engine has found a similar name. In other words. if there is an "Uri Ladell" in someone else's tree, MyHeritage will suggest to me to compare and check to see if that's the same Uri Ladell that I know. This in itself is a great feature, but I am very suspectful of the rest of that other tree. If I connect my tree to another, I want to be sure the information in the other tree is reliable.
Having explained that, I strongly suggest you join the Pieniek Roots tree in my MyHeritage program. Just write me and ask to be invited.
